I love everything about my job, it is the people I have met and looked after over the years who have given me the courage to set up my own care agency. Myself and my team believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity and that is one promise we can make and keep

I have been working in the care sector for the last 3 years in which I have developed a strong passion for providing compassionate care to the people I meet.
As a lead carer I help maintain safe person centred care and support the team to maintain out high standards.

I have been in the social care industry for over 30 years working with some amazing people. For the last 6 years I have settled into domiciliary care where I have found my place. I have a person centred approach to my work and have found I love the connection I get to make with my clients and their families, listening to their stories and being able to promote their independence.

Care work was never a career that I could see myself doing until I cared for my dad at the age of 16.
I love building relationships with the older generation and helping them remain independent especially the vulnerable and lonely, it makes a difference to people’s lives. The time I spent caring for my dad made me realise how valuable our lives are and how much having the right people around you impacts your health and wellbeing. Being a carer is not a 9-5 the hours can be extremely long and draining but seeing the smile you put on people’s faces and the impact you have makes it all worth it.
